I find your response incredibly short sighted, possibly completely blind, that you don't see the value to the West in maintaining the existence of Israel..

So you say. Evidently, being “short sighted” is a popular term with you. I’m short sighted, Ron Paul is short sighted, however, I would offer that it is you who is short sighted, and cannot see what has brought us to the no win predicament that faces us in the Middle East. Had you taken the time to read my previous posts instead of dismissing them out of hand, you would know the answer has already been stated.

Our foreign policy over the last 50 years relative to the countries in the Middle East including Israel, has fueled the flames of Arab and Islamic hatred for the U.S. It has and will continue to jeopardize our security as each new Muslim extremist and fundamentalist generation is exposed to it. Our interventionist policy is bankrupting the country costing us billions of dollars, and caused hundreds of thousands of casualties on all sides. It has not accomplished anything more than create ill will toward our country throughout the world. You also seem not to understand that our foreign policy is driven by politics, and special interests that have a vested interest in continuing these conflicts, i.e. the arms industries, oil companies, the Israeli lobby, and other special interests whose campaign contributions influence the outcome of elections.

I wonder, is your view consistent with Ron Paul's position?

I guess you will continue to wonder since you have not chosen to make the effort to learn or try to understand his positions on the issues.

I would appreciate it if you could help me out with this point, thanks...

Why is that everyone must help you out, and answer your questions when you choose not to respond to questions asked of you? I asked two questions in the post that this post refers to and you have chosen not to respond to them, instead posing your own question. I can probably direct you to at least a half dozen others to which you have not responded. Answer my questions and I will answer yours.

However its your thread, and your rules…you choose to answer those that you think you can produce an effective response to. The others you tend to ignore. I am not “short sighted” (as you are so fond of saying) to the point that I cannot see past your obvious obfuscation when faced with the dilemma of trying to provide an answer to a question you do not know how to respond to. TIA
