Westerners: this oil here is not going to you. Go buy ethanol from Brazil!!! Can you imagine how much bsuiness those Europeans will be chasing down here with this free trade zone after Iraq and Iran are 'pacified?

Europe has Putin's energy.

Noth America has to accommodate Chavez and go for Brazil's ethanol.

I agree with you that China urgently needs to improve its environment for its own long term good. But I doubt they will spend their reserves to do it. China is accumulating gigantic surpluses while at the same time investing in their infrastructure and industrial capacity at breakneck speed.

All they need to do is decrease their infrastructure and industrial capacity investment, where there are increasing signs of overcapacity, and divert the money to environmental investments. The surplus will just keep growing.
