Things will change when Fed will no longer be able to intervene.

That will only happen when gold explodes to the upside and people start fleeing the dollar and pull their savings out of the banking system.

Fed is only a One Trick Pony.
When people will no longer be willing to exchange their labor and savings for the Pony's feces, the wheels will come off.
