Not sure what the Iraq parliamentarians where doing during their "vacation" but I've heard everything from going abroad for some fun and sun to traveling from neighborhood to neighborhood talking to the Iraqi people and getting a feel for how they want their nation run.

Well ain't that just hunky dory!

The Iraqi people from neighborhood to neighborhood want one thing - SECURITY!
And that is most of Iraq. Any Iraqi pol who does not understand that should be impeached.

The Iraqi govt must take decisive action to accelerate the sharing of the national wealth for nation building and the
stand up of security forces. They just missed a month of doing that.

While Iraqi politicians were sunning themselves in August, 86 American soldiers died and 405 more were seriously wounded. Total US dead in Iraq is 3,800. Total US wounded is over 27,000. The Iraqi pols took a vacation from their office in the Green Zone. The US Army desperately needs a vacation from combat. How many more Americans are you willing to let suffer and die while the Iraqis sun themselves?

I hate to tell you this but there is a war going on and the security of both Iraq and the US is at stake. Don't bother to explain any more Iraqi politicians happy vacations to me. They need to get off their asses and get to work.

EDIT:
Neeka - I just reread your post. My apologies if I misunderstood your meaning, but my sentiments remain the same.
The solution does not rest with GIs. Only Iraqis can resolve this and they won't get it done on vacation.
