My belief is that its not the breast itself that is the problem, but that instead, the act of breastfeeding reminds some folks of our innate animal nature.

Your average religious fundamentalist tries very hard to deny our close relation to the wild kingdom.

This is why they believe in sex only within marriage, since it is intended solely for procreation, and why any natural urge must be suppressed.
