I tend to think too many hard working people are getting screwed by our healthcare system as it stands today....

Too many hard working people are getting screwed a lot of ways, not just by the healthcare system. The question remains what, if anything, to do about it.

I understand folks looking at this from a strictly consumer perspective, just like they'd look at cell phone plans. Everyone wants the best deal for the least money. But I have too many years in government to not look at it from the systems perspective, as well. We're not buying widgets at Walmart here. With widgets, we have no investment in the health of Walmart, not unless we own stock. We must have an investment in our country, though. We have to consider it's long term health as well as our consumer interests.
