Keith Olbermann’s Confusion
Posted by: Jon Henke on Thursday, September 06, 2007

Remember the incessant claims from the Left that their patriotism was being attacked by Republicans? While they rarely offered any examples - not including their own - of prominent Republicans, or Bush Administration officials actually questioning their patriotism, they were outraged, nonetheless.

They seem to be over it. In a rant widely cited on the left, Keith Olbermann says...

Mr. Bush, our presence in Iraq must end. Even if it means your resignation. Even if it means your impeachment. Even if it means a different Republican to serve out your term. Even if it means a Democratic Congress and those true patriots among the Republicans standing up and denying you another penny for Iraq, other than for the safety and the safe conduct home of our troops.

Keith Olbermann once quoted Edward R. Murrow, saying "We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty."

Keith Olbermann may have quoted it, but he does not believe it.
