Israel is definitely doing public relations efforts to get the American people behind an attack on Iran. The Jerusalem Post even had an editorial saying as much a few months ago; that it should be Israel's goal to convince the American people that it is in their best interest to attack Iran. Iran is the next logical target of the western military powers as oil supplies dwindle (look at that price of oil at $75/barrel at the end of the summer driving season, what does that tell you about oil's supply?) and Israel calls in its chips with the U.S. government. Iran has the 2nd or 3rd largest oil reserves.
