>There are VERY few old druggies

Where do you get that idea?<

It's a nice, comforting thing to believe. Just for the hell of it one could park outside a methadone clinic for an hour in any of a thousand cities in the US and verify that. It's not true, by the way, but I didn't think it was all that important to contest.

Doctors, lawyers, advertising execs, wall street types, con artists, prostitutes, you name it. People might be surprised. Actually, some of the nicest people I knew were heroin addicts, they were just damaged in some way. Also a lot of a**holes.

Goodnight everyone. Hopefully another topic will take the front burner.

Lots of training. I dispute what alan said about "not true"....go to SFO or Seattle or other drug ladden communities, and sit in some rehab meetings, or NA or AA meetings. You will see for yourself.

Older recovering alcoholics ....yes.

Older druggies who still are using.....no. Very few are like Timothy O'Leary and live past 60.....

If you don't believe that, go ask any of the Court Administrators....And any responsible recovery center Officer....
