Yes, I appreciate your alias as well. Fine choice. As to your post, when person states ("pick drug of choice") one can of course pick alcohol. If you're measuring collateral damage, there can no bigger wmd around. So the kick down argument particularly applies to anyone who drinks. Not that we care that they drink, but they may cause collateral damage. Therefore it's best to utterly destroy a beer-drinkers life, just in case. I guess if you really press things, one could pick tobacco for this treatment as well. All that 2nd-hand smoke ...
