It might not have been planed for a long time, but even assuming it wasn't it doesn't guarantee that it has anything to do with Barcelona. I'm not saying it doesn't, just that there is really know way for either of us to know now, and there may be no way for either of us to know even after Barcelona is widely available. You can make reasonable speculations, but to many people take the speculation as if it was certain truth.

Nah. I worked for him. He's definitely part of the OLD BOYS CLUB, if you are in the club, you can screw up big time. Once in the club you are there for the long term. I suspect that Henri saw the writing on the wall(the AMD business plan won't make it) and decided on looking at other options. Henri has only one interest: Henri.
