Thanks William...

I don't like this part... and wilts or softens vegetables......and that's why I have never blanched veggies before freezing.

I'm very studious when it comes to freezing food.

I date my packages and try to use them within 3 months. (I make exceptions for meat..........it can go longer, but not much) I don't know why I've come to that conclusion, but imo that is the magic number. I'll still take it (meat) out and use it if it's past that date, but I try not to let that happen. I've been known to throw food out if it's been frozen for over 6 months.

Ken and I are going to do a little experiment.

Will report back!
