Actually I don't feel that strongly about it. Strongly enough to express a contrary opinion, I guess. Thats all. I don't think the drug legalization movement has a prayer so I'm not excited they will force a radical social experiment on the country. The gay marriage, group/poly/whatever marriage movement otoh has lots more momentum behind it.

I do have general negative opinions about drug use and drug users, though. I will admit that and tell you its based on what it does to their loved ones.

Libertarians see this as a matter of the isolated individual is all that counts and his right to do absolutely anything he wants, including self-destructive things. Well, thats fine for him. But people don't usually come into the world and go through it as isolated individuals. They have families and neighbors and they all suffer from drug use too.
