Believe it is unusual when gold is rising even as yen is rising YES! i noticed the same thing, thought it was very very odd...i had every intention of buying gold on dips as the carry unwound...now i don't know what to do grrrrr

TJ, I followed you on GSS and AUY. Good moves I think, but it all rather depends on a rate cut. Strange behavior in AUY. MTO.CA down also. Passive Agency mREITS NLY, CMO, MFA, ANH all up, NLY up 6%, and mortgage REITs down. I added some NLY, but this one depends on a rate cut too, I think. And I really screwed up. I had been short HOG but covered a few days ago. That one is really going down I think. There are enough of those overpriced and oversized beasts sitting around in garages and warehouses to last three lifetimes. Slagle
