They won't let it go without a fight, but I'm afraid the price will be a steeper slope in the decline of our overall standard of living.

People that once made let's say $25 an hour in manufacturing are pretty lucky to get $8 in retail, so the quality of jobs is in question, and this shows up in the lack of wage growth increases.

So, we have an environment that is good for corporations, especially exporters like CAT, (they have a multi tier wage system now) and also good for importers of Chinese crap, like WalMart.

The biggest loser in this, as I see it, is middle class America,
whether they cut rates or not.

I ask people this question all the time>

Are you better off today than you were 6 months ago, a year ago, etc?
And why?
