Thx. The link is a little ambiguous about what the issue is.
It could be simply that removing the cHT power from
the worst case allows a higher frequency. Alternatively,
there could be speed-path issues related to cache coherency.

Anyone have an idea how much worst case power is saved
by turning off the HT channels . . . and the cache-coherency
logic?

And how many incoherent :-) HT links do the desktop parts have?
