Grace, You're kind of making my case for me.


A correction, even a severe one, that wrings out excess and busts speculators is a very good thing.

A depression implies that even non-speculative positive economic activity grinds to a halt.

I'm seriously on the side of a hard correction in housing but since housing offers no value add to the economy, I don't expect a recession (two or more quarters of negative GDP growth).
