The British started moving into the Indian subcontinent 400 years ago. This set off a chain of events resulting in the eventual movement of millions of Pakistani and Indian Muslims to Britain.

The US invasion of Iraq caused a huge diaspora of millions of Iraqis spilling out into the surrounding countries. There is now growing pressure on the US to accept more of these refugees. Those that get here will try to bring over their relatives.

Many of the Iraqis who get here will become good, hardworking citizens. But there will still be assimilation problems, and some of their children and grandchildren will be susceptible to the influence of those crazy foreign imams we can't seem to deport.

The Bush administration is being very restrictive about allowing Iraqi refugees into the US. But this policy could be relaxed as the pressure grows and a different administration assumes power.

It will be quite ironic if the Iraq War results in increased Muslim immigration to the US, and some of those people cause problems down the road.
