No, not fud. How much do you think the numbers changed?
I bet not much. AMD simply didn't want him to publish early,
so they made a big deal about a small last-minute improvement.

What's your theory? How far off do you think Ou is?

AMD says a lot of things. As gg asks you, how different do you think the "true" numbers are? I'd guess that even "no difference" is a strong possibility.

Ou updates... adds Intel September numbers. Reveals that AMD numbers are from August 20th and 28th submissions AMD made to SPEC! So much for FUD. The only FUD is coming from AMD PR.

Intel's 2P SPECint_rate scores have improved.

As suspected, the only thing Barc is good at... SPECfp_rate:

In November, the Seaburg platform will boost Intel's 2P SPEC_rate scores for both Clovertown and 45nm Harpertown, extending the int_rate advantage and narrowing the fp_rate disadvantage.

Re: AMD TOLD HIM the numbers he used for Barclona were wrong

AMD damage control. It seems they're working overtime to control the messaging of the press these days. It's good business, but it is realistic? We'll see soon enough if AMD's updated scores actually change George Ou's conclusions (I suspect they won't).
