The hypocricy I'm referring to is the likes of say a president who proclaims to be a devout Christian yet perpetuates an avoidable war. Or say his Christian base offering full support. Or torture issues, statements like

c'mon, what a dodge. We all know that's where you'd like to concentrate your attention, on a Christian President who might (shudder) actually believe, yet doesn't live up to your ideas of what a believing man should do. That he might genuinely hold different ideas doesn't seem to have occurred, but never mind.

However, let's turn our attention to whether President Ahmedinijad of Iran was being similarly hypocritical when he claimed a miracle happened during his speech at the UN - there was green glow and nobody blinked for half an hour, he said - or when he ended his speech by praying for the swift return of the Mahdi, the hidden 12th Imam.

Hypocrisy or genuine?
