I was out of the market, but now I've got three positions, Berkshire-Hathaway, gold and an American RE short mutual fund and a lot of cash. I'm trusting Warren Buffet's guys to know which way the wind blows! I sold most of my stocks last Friday after realizing some sizeable gains from July. Trying to sit out September but may have to pick up some oil stocks....crude is just too strong. I don't think we will go into recession but I think there is a better chance of it happening than there was as recently as three months ago. In any case, Sept. is usually a month for a lot of volatility and I would rather watch from the sidelines and hold on to my profits YTD.
