"I don't understand why I have any more right to be accomodated than someone born south of a line that's pretty arbitrary."

Why stop there Z? Why not just invite everyone in the entire world to come here? We'd have a billion people speaking a babel of languages with a thousand different customs and value systems in no time at all!

I think you need to spend some more time in some third world countries. As for myself, at times I've felt like kissing the ground on returning from Mexico.

What makes you think work permits won't be forged much like the SS cards, drivers licenses, birth certificates, etc. that are forged now?

Because there's no real reason to forge them. It's not going to take much to get them.

>Do you think an employer should be penalized because he has been given a forged working permit that looks to be authentic?

Once again, there should be no reason to forge papers.

>I think employers should be held accountable but I don't understand why you want to turn a blind eye to the illegals entering this country and forging papers to live here. After all, they are committing a crime as well.

See above.

Are you suggesting there will be no limit to the numbers of working permits issued? I hope not. That's the only reason not to forge them.

However, it seems like a lot of effort to accommodate people who are not citizens of this country.

I don't understand why I have any more right to be accomodated than someone born south of a line that's pretty arbitrary. I'm, as a colleague likes to call the children of billionaires that we deal with, a member of the "lucky sperm club."

You're a member of the "lucky sperm club" because some people before either of us were born put together some laws together to help make that happen. And now, you want to chuck those laws because you are suffering from "lucky sperm club" guilt. I suggest you take a trip down to TJ on your next trip West, or do a couple of years in the Peace Corp. That should either assuage your guilt or firm up your saint martyr status.

You are meeting 'coyotes' right after they delivered another 100 illegals to this country? You've heard of a Mexican restaurant that makes salsa just the way you think you will like it? You've always wanted to see a lot of stucco houses painted pink? You've decided to start dating a Mexican chiquita? What? Why so mysterious?

You'll see (if I manage to get my ass out of my hotel room sometime soon). Do you know anything about the tiny little city's economy and government?

Hawaiian Gardens? What little I do know I try to forget. Don't they have a lot of poker clubs or is that Bell Gardens? I get all those "gardens" mixed up. For the uninitiated, Bell and Hawaiian Gardens are anything but gardeny or Hawaiian or bellish. They are two very lost suburbs of LA located on what is affectionately called the flats of LA.......mile after mile after mile of lower middle class, cracker jack box like, pink and brown and gray stucco houses interpersed with warehouses and factories topped with a brown gook called smog. The best thing that can be said about the area is that there is a freeway that runs through it so you get out quickly.

Here....maybe this website will help:

hgcity.org

And let me remind you........it was the Mexican president who said "Mexico does not stop at its borders". Now what does that mean to you, big man?

Not a whole hell of a lot.

Think Aztlan!
