wbmw, turns out Clovertown has 33% lead in SPECint, 20% in SPECfp. The 1.86GHz Xeon I was using is cramped by the 1066 FSB.

Using the 2GHz 1333 Xeon (50W, if you want the LV version), and projecting 2GHz Barcelona spec scores from 1.9GHz assuming 75% scaling (so ~4% higher for the ~5% higher clock) gives an even bigger Intel lead.

Seaburg's 1600 FSB will increase the lead still more. Then there's Harpertown.
