For the first one, "subjectmarks2", I get close to what I recall we used to have, maybe one font size smaller, and with the second one I get the tiny font I've had for 10-14 days.

One size larger than "subjectmarks2" would probably solve it for me.

But right now, message boards also have the same size as "subjectmarks2".

The larger font size (that we had, that we do not yet have in subjectmarks2) causes my SubjectMarks to wordwrap due to any long-name Subjects, and I like that forced double spacing.

>>Those experiencing tiny fonts, what do you see different between:

siliconinvestor.com
and
siliconinvestor.com
<<

As Sr K mentioned, the first link is much closer to the old font size although just a bit smaller. A significant improvement. You're definitely on the right track with that first link. The second link still has the tiny font.

How about putting a link above (and below) to SubjectMarks2 to the left of PeopleMarks, so we can choose one that works best for now?

I bookmarked the SubjectMarks2 but I want to click above and below as I used to.

Unless you're close to a total solution.

big font on 2.aspx

and

little font

but I dont think I have a problem. do I ?

The site is normally small fonts for me and i prefer it that way. The big font of subjectmarks2 is annoying.

i use 1600 x 1200 res, if that matters

First URL is normal size font; second is small fonts (which I like for the pages where it shows up).

subjectmarks2.aspx displays here with the same size font as the messages, to the pixel, and is using
class="text2"

subjectmarks.aspx is the same as I posted previously, no class assigned and styled right there in the HTML...
style="border-width:0px;font-family:Arial;font-size:10pt;width:100%;border-collapse:collapse;">

I get the same results in FF 2 and IE 6, BTW.

The subjectmarks.apsx font is still quite legible, and actually works well, since this is a page where one is reading for recognition, not comprehension.

may be an issue of strict vs quirks mode rendering by the browsers.

I don't see a doctype in either version. Is that the intent?

Your first URL (http://siliconinvestor.com/subjectmarks2.aspx) restores the
font back to the "normal" size for me. I am running with a 1280 x 1024 display
on an Apple Mac Mini (Power PC instruction set) and the OS X operating system
(version 10.3.9) with a Safari (version 1.3.2) browser.
