Fighting words from a wise American >Sept 10, 2007 - Look at the internals of recent polls on Iraq and you'll find bad news for Democrats. Military leaders are trusted to run the war, not Congress. Reid, Durbin, Kerry and other Democrats slashed away at General Petraeus' credibility over the weekend. These guys are so far over the cliff, they can't come back. They are desperate for American defeat and it is disgusting. Kerry joined Chuckie Schumer in disregarding US efforts in Iraq. Osama Bin Laden blames Democrats for not ending the war, and Kerry actually answered his allegations! It's getting close to the point where Osama Bin Laden could deliver the keynote speech in the Democrat National Convention. You'll burn hot when you hear what Democrat Tom Lantos had to say in his opening remarks at the Petraeus hearing. Anonymous Democrats say that they'll leave calling Petraeus a liar to "surrogate groups." Lantos obviously didn't get the memo. Where does Tom Lantos come off speaking that way to a four star general in full uniform? This was a national disgrace. The Drive-By Media has totally buried the Norman Hsu-Hillary Clinton scandal. This is a huge scandal, and if Republicans were involved, they'd be in wall-to-wall coverage. In his very first sentences, General Petraeus firmly told Lantos and Democrats that his words and his testimony are his own. Take that libs! The Politico reports that in the midst of the assault this week on Petraeus, all is not well on the Surrender Coalition front. The Democrats recently had another conference call with kook-left bloggers, who were unsuccessful in moving the more conservative freshmen members of the Democrat majority. The Democrats allowed Code Pink wackos into the Petraeus hearing to disrupt and protest. This is the Democrat Party, folks, for the entire country to see. If Osama Bin Laden is killed, who will be the liberals' next spokesperson on the war given Osama's latest video releases? When you analyze the liberal talking points Osama wrapped into his last message, you realize those will be tough sandals to fill. When you go back and examine the President's initial decision to invade Iraq, with 9/11 as perspective, it was the only decision he could make to keep the country safe and it was the correct one. But Democrats have no perspective, other than a seething rage and hatred for George W. Bush, so look for them to get more extreme, not less. A parting message for Republicans today: Get a pair! In a just political environment, today's hearings would be enough to nullify any future electoral victory on the part of Democrats. What has happened up there today is a complete disgrace. The Republicans must stop being so docile and referring to these people as "good friends." It's time to wipe them out politically before you get wiped out by them.< Rush Limbaugh
