Federal laws require the new insurerer to accept you in the same condition as the previous insurer had you insured in.

My God when is the Federal government going to quit with all this stupid regulation?

Are you telling me that any insurance company that I applied to was REQUIRED to insure me, even if I had a serious illness like cancer? If so, I stand corrected, although I just looked at my policy and see it had a 365 day waiting period for pre-existing conditions. If a new insurer is not required to insure me (this isn't COBRA), then what you say doesn't help very much at all.
