Thank you, I'll take the word of someone who's actually worked with it over speculations.

Just look at the AT & TR numbers as I did, performance across a wide set of apps, multiple clocks for scaling analysis, it's all there.

But, of course, you're free to disregard real, hard data in favor of Mr Sood's hollow rhetoric.

Re: Thank you, I'll take the word of someone who's actually worked with it over speculations.

I didn't see where Rahul claimed he worked with a 3GHz Phenom. From that article one can only conclude he just got to sit down with one of 3GHz Phenom demo units and saw the AMD-approved canned benchmarks running.

I didn't agree with several points made in that article. "Pro gamers" not being able to tell difference in frame rates, "pro gamers" would pick image quality over frame rates, and the Vista experience getter because of DirectX 10?

If anything gamers are overwhelmingly choosing DX9 because even though DX10 games have minor improvements in visual quality, the decrease in frame rate is not tolerable even with high end video cards like a 2900XT or 8800GTS. You don't have to be a "pro gamer" to tell the difference between 30 FPS and 40 FPS. No doubt "pro gamers" wouldn't have a problem telling the difference between 30 FPS and 35 FPS.
