I saw Biden, just back from Iraq, on a Sunday talking head show. He said the surge was a failure. He related an anecdote that it was "too dangerous" to fly him from the Green Zone to the airport in a helicopter, so they took him in an armored SUV he claimed was going 90 mph zig-zagging the 8 miles to the airport.
