The bogeyman is not the stock market, or these bankers and the
libor rates market must be kidding -g- It IS a game of musical
chairs. This is US paper. So, they sliced subprime mortgages
into CDOs, in an attempt to reduce risk. Now nobody wants
those CDOs with subprime slices, so even the "good" debt
suffers. Inevitably, all that junk paper will find its way
back to the US

"The refinancing of the commercial paper is expected to start
tomorrow (September 10) and end on September 20. In that
short period the City is braced for huge market volatility."
