Ken,

After my MIL became ill and was living in a group assisted living home, my wife, kids and I took a trip to Mexico. We didn't want to stress her out, so we didn't tell her we were going on the trip, only that we had commitments that would keep us from visiting during the week we were away.

Fortunately we had my wife's sister to come in from Idaho and take up the slack. I understand you don't have that luxury, which is too bad.

It does sound wonderful. I remember running across a group of artists that had their easels set up next to a lovely little creek taking lessons and painting away up in the Cascades while on a hike one day. I lingered and watched and talked, taking a few lessons myself. They were a really happy group, and willing to share some of their techniques.

Doing something like that in Spain would be awesome.

Looked for an image of Troublesome Creek on line, but didn't find anything there. If I can ever get back............the road up washed out in seven places in the Nov 2006 flood so it is impossible right now. Too bad..........it is beautiful.
