I stated thinking I should go back to school after I retire next year and get a Ph.D in this. I see all sorts of interesting things. Nature vs nurture. Do those areas not work in conservatives because every time they demonstrated accuracy they were slapped on the hand by their parents? Is it genetic? Do autopsies on both groups, see if there are different neurotransmitters in those areas. Can it be influenced? Specifically, by LSD. Take LSD virgins of both political persuasions, give them acid, look at them under MRI B4, during, and after; are there short term changes in these areas? Do they persist? If so, does that change political viewpoint? If not, does that change political viewpoint? What about marijuana? What about laxatives? Do they inhibit the development of ( mental) accuracy? Just give me a cross section of the brain and the right stains and the reverberating circuits might reveal themselves.
