So, it's probably safe to assume that you have NO INTENTION of ever re-building a car... or re-engineering a line of automobiles. But --- if one undertakes to ACTUALLY 'defeat' (in any kind of a total and long-term and permanent sense...) 'radical' or totalitarian Islam, then that is EXACTLY WHAT YOU MUST UNDER-TAKE TO DO: Re-engineer their societies, change the path of the future, alter the world in a major and fundamental way. Strategic and long-term victories do not often happen just by random chance. And, you likely have near zero hope of actually accomplishing anything so major if you don't know all of the 'nuts and bolts' that go into making up the Islamic world of today... which is itself (same as our American society) a product of many centuries of history and quite complicated, with many exploitable internal divisions, schisms, needs, aspirations, etc. Re: "their internal differences mean nothing to me, nor do I give a rat's ass about it... yes, nuke 'em all, bulldoze the place, and start over...." Then, in that case, you should probably hand the long-term strategic planning over to the experts... because with a 'plan' like THAT you are going to do far more harm to America then OBL ever dreamed of, or certainly has ever been capable of....
