Whoa, you think Hitler and Mussolini were democratic governments? Elections had been suspended for eight years in Germany, ten years in Italy. Or are you saying they had had democracies at one time? Iraq had a sort of democracy (constitutional monarchy) at one point....before Saddam. Of course, they never were a nation, just a bunch of carved up Ottoman provinces..... I don't think the so-called nation of Iraq is too excited about pluralistic government. No sect wants to share with any other...including the Kurds who are walled off up North.
