On *real* supercomputer workloads, I agree that Budapest will be better, but interconnect speed is a lot less of an issue with Opteron systems than with the Intel-based systems on the top500 list. Most of them use a loose Infiniband interconnect based on PCIe, and it has twice the latency (and lower bandwidth) of HTX-based interconnect, or, even better, custom HT connections.
