Watching CNBC just now someone stated there is a $7 billion per year subsidy involved with alternate fuels-boifuels, ethanol. Nobody mentions that in a semi-tropical city like Chicago there is no insulation in any of the houses built before 1950 (roughly). That's a lot of houses. Probably the same in Minneapolis. Wonder what it would cost to install insulation. Wonder what the fuel savings would be, considering the energy to make, transport and install it (a one time expense) and that the benefit would accrue year after year. ADM probably has a stronger lobby that GLW. Just idle speculation as I take a break from installing dry wall over my now insulated living room walls. The room that the original builders only gave a passing nod to the concept of 16" on center.

In the past I would sit out back and smoke a cigarette when I took a break. Now I post nonsense here.
