But then, maybe i have a misconception here.


All processors have bugs, but it's fairly rare that a processor is shipped that can't be fixed with a bios update (the FDIV is a well known exception, but that was many years ago - and note use of term "shipped"). The bugs that are listed in the errata of shipping processors typically apply to all chips from that stepping so the identical bios is used for all chips (and it "fixes" the bug).
