I think the oil in Iraq is something the Dems want to ignore. Can any of us imagine what the world would be like if AQI and other terrorist groups control the 2nd largest oil fields on the planet? The western world would come to a halt. Jobs gone. And on down that slippery slope.

If the Dems have their way, and America leaves Iraq before the Iraqis are able to fight AQ and all the other murdering terrorist groups, then the prospect of anything but barbarism and war is truly more than most of us can contemplate.

We'd better all hope that we find an alternative to oil just ASAP. And I don't mean ethanol either. That takes way too much oil to produce and get to the pumps. We need a new technology and we need it immediately.

The bigger question is what happens to Iraq's oil when all the oil production skill flees. The bordering nations have to worry about their own internal security when AL Qaeda takes over. Eventually, Israel, who isn't constrained by defeatists, would have to nuclear bomb most of Iraq and Iran. Turn the place into glass.
