Vietnam we did choose to leave and now the President of the USA can freely (not secretly) fly into any part of the country where, btw, we do not have any permanent air bases, attend a scheduled conference and travel from the airport to the hotel without hitting an IED.

We better move a brigade of Marines into that country just to make "sure" it continues, lol.

”Vietnam we did choose to leave and now…”

Milions of people, including 1/3 of the Cambodian population have been brutally slaughtered.

Re-education (Almost certain death): People were often encouraged to confess to Angkar their "pre-revolutionary lifestyles and crimes" (which usually included some kind of free-market activity, or having had contact with a foreign source, such as a US missionary, or international relief or government agency, or contact with any foreigner or with the outside world at all),

The executed were buried in mass graves. In order to save ammunition, executions were often carried out using hammers, axe handles, spades or sharpened bamboo sticks. Some victims were required to dig their own graves; their weakness often meant that they were unable to dig very deep. The soldiers who carried out the executions were mostly young men or women from peasant families.

”Amazing...Petraeus and Crocker cannot predict what will happen if we stay even after 5 years of "staying" but they know for certain that "catastrophe" awaits our leaving.”

What is amazing, Don, is your willingness to dismiss so easily the likelihood of brutal genocide to advance your petty partisan rants.

I find that very suspicious too. They can seeming predict what will happen if we leave YEARS into the future, but can't predict beyond six months what will happen if we stay. It kind of says right there that their agenda is to stay as long as possible - which puts their entire line of bullshit into question.
