That's doubtful. Most public schools allow anything as long as it's non-violent and civilized language. Evidently, other students were wearing national flags other than the US, so the school admin banned all of them.

Wouldn't doubt that the other flags were Mexican worn by illegal students who are receiving a free education on the backs of US taxpayers. Public schools throughout the nation are feeling that pinch to their budgets.
