Since you eliminate the first option, then you must move on to what many already have-- the consideration of options. The trend is not nearly as clear as you indicate for #2, except in comparision to the already rejected #1, given nothing else has been tried. I;m sorry, but somehow that just strikes me as an illogical exercise. Part of the problem is that too many people want to make it that simple, and it isn't. Too many questions, too many unknowns, too many factors. Artificial extremes don't make for good policy, but are only a sort of manipulative debating tactic. I think it's used by both sides, and is mutually self-defeating at this point.

Am off for the rest of the day doing volunteer work (nothing political!)
