Yes, I've seen several pictures of moose in a kiddee pool. We even had one like that near where I live a couple of years ago. They seem to like the relief from heat.

When I was a kid I used to camp at a lake where the moose would come down every day to feed on watercress. You could see their tracks on the bottom in water WAY over their heads. They could stay down a long time.
