I've told that story a zillion times over the years when asked the inevitable question "How did you meet your wife?" People who knew us also knew she was born in England and came here at the age of 18. It certainly wasn't like she was a high school sweetheart. After leaving Las Vegas to continue that trip to Chicago, we sat together. In those days they didn't assign seats. By the time we arrived in Chicago, we were in love. Corny, eh? It was just meant to be. We were married about a year later. I still find it pretty bizarre! People just shake their heads when they hear this.
