Yes the world has been re-shaped through globalization. And not every single part or aspect of that change is positive. Creative destruction does involve some destruction. But the net effect has been greatly positive, and trying to reverse it would be a disaster. If you don't allow creative destruction the best you get is stagnation, if not that you get decline.

Moving jobs offshore and breaking down trade barriers and national borders.

Such actions benefit the more developed countries and the less developed countries. The benefits to the more developed countries aren't as immediately obvious (but they are there if you look for them). The benefits to the developing countries are immediately obvious. I can see you missing the benefits for places like the US, but you presented yourself as fighting for the poor workers in the third world. And how do you propose to do it? By taking away their jobs?

PHD's are saying this.

And that's supposed to be meaningful? If you look for it you can find a PHD who said just about anything you can imagine.
