Lets see, CB is a Republican attorney and lives near Washington DC. hmmmm TJ, maybe you have something there. <Grin> As for those others, well watch what they do instead of what they say. I read somewhere that Paulson is expected to move to China at the end of his government service so you may have him for a neighbor. I bet the men in Beijing will not sell China out to any foreigner and that is how it should be and how it used to be here not so long ago. Here in my hands I have a June 12, 1999 paper copy of "The Freeman", a Filipino tabloid of very high quality, published in Manila since 1908. I bet your grandfather was a regular reader and probably was often quoted. On page thirty there is an article "Open Secrets, Spying is not the only way for China to learn about Atomic Bombs" which explains in great detail the Clinton administration effort to transfer to China nuclear secrets and the supposed logic behind it. Going back to 1993 the logic, to the extent Clinton administration bureaucrats ever made any public disclosure, was that it was all about "world peace". And of course it was also about the transfer of vast amounts of money into offshore accounts. So the other side of the Janus-face Repub-locrat single party government we have here was no slouch either, when it came to helping China. BTW, if you can find hard copies of "The Freeman" from the 1990's and earlier they are great reading as they were not circulated out of the Philippines and hence the editors were not afraid to say "where the bodies were buried". The present online edition is not worth much. But it is not all about selling out to China. The Shrub insiders have a real fetish about Mexico and are working hard for some undisclosed interests there. Then beginning with LBJ every administration has been a stooge for Israel. And there all kinds of odd things, never disclosed. An example would be the secret deal that Jimmy Carter had with David Rockefeller, the man who put Carter in office, to give away the Panama Canal. Carter insiders including some who served in his cabinet have not figured that one out even yet. Slagle
