It's just wonderful wandering the streets as well as checking out the major "cultural" locations. It might not be that great if you actually have to live there. I used to commute in London which was tiring and frustrating. My brother visited the US for the first time in June - we took him on a daytrip to Manhattan - he didn't want to miss that if it was possible to do it. Though in the end when I asked him what he liked best on the trip it was some of the quieter places we went in Massachusetts.
