And this on the dollar, great article.....

This made the front page of an INTERNATIONAL newspaper today...

--------------------

Dollar's retreat raises fear of collapse.

"This is all pointing to a greatly increased risk of a fast unwinding of the U.S. current account deficit and a serious decline of the dollar," said Kenneth Rogoff, a former chief economist at the International Monetary Fund and an expert on exchange rates. "We could finally see the big kahuna hit."

West, my parents live in an RV now. That is going to be the endgame for many. Their primary income, SS, had not gone up for many years. Oh, it went up a tiny bit, 2-3% a year, but the Medicare jumps of 8-12% more than ate up all gains, so in effect, they were going backwards at 3-5% a year for many years.

of course there would be a prepayment penalty they got a teaser rate. Too many people seem to be in denial when confronted with reality. I guess its something politicians can empathize with.
