"<< Sam, generally agree with that point but Gen Odom was on a radio show recently and someone mentioned something Bill Kristol had said about Iraq and Odom bluntly stated something to the effect of...why would anyone pay any attention to someone such as Kristol who had been so consistently wrong. That is my view of Ajami. Re Packer... I read his book and plan to read his recent, lengthy mag piece posted elsewhere on SI and figured I would not miss anything he might say. And as you point out, Rose will just let BS flow on so Ajami was going to walk off the set feeling satisfied with his "performance".
