Iran is doing a lot more than defense, Sam. Sending Qods forces into Iraq, raiding over the border, trying to kidnap Coalition soldiers and salors (they've tried several times and succeeded with the Royal Navy), shipping in arms and explosives to the Mahdi Army AND Al Qaeda, send Hezbullah into Iraq to train the Shia militias.

This ain't just defense, this is positively daring the US to confront them.

I will try to be civil, Nadine do you have any evidence that what you wrote is going on or you are making things up as usual. Oh please the evidence that we need has to be more substantial than Iraq WMDs' evidence.
micheal90210 are you happy?

Iran is fighting us THERE (in Iraq), so they don't have to fight us at home (in Iran). It's a valid policy - certainly much more so for the Iranians, Iraq's next door neighbor, than it is for US. Iran is going to have to live with whatever emerges from Iraq RIGHT NEXT DOOR forever.

We'd do a lot better TALKING to Iran and trying to reach an outcome in Iraq that we could BOTH live with. This will never happen in the Bush Presidency, so, there's no point in talking about it now.
