Interesting reports of the chinese FDA becomming quite constipated. Paralysis, a consequence of recent liquidation of the former chief asset, has resulted in great fear among those with products of questionable efficacy in the pipelines.

Furthermore, it is very difficult to schedule a decent lunch with members of the agency for fear of repurcussion. Change is indeed afoot, the cleaners hired, and brainwashing underway.

Nonetheless, I have acquired a new admiration of the brass balls among those in China who choose to attack the intellectual property of worldwide conglomerate snake oil salesmen. Such has created quite the cottage industry of frothiness bubbling over with yuan-eyed scientists returning home with freshly minted foreign made diploma in one hand and vulture capitalist in the other. It all seems reminiscent of days gone by, when the visions of curing, enlarging and shrinking, all manner of societal problem danced through many a hallway of now defunct American biotech corporation. Given such excess liquidity, it all must go somewhere, and someday soon leave and arrive at a place more deserving.

So alas, one can only sit back watching and waiting...
