For clues perhaps look at a darling of the tech bubble JDSU which seemed to bottom out about two years after the final top in third quarter 2000. Then look at the last five years it has been just a trading vehicle with not much fundamental changes in either direction to drive it outside of a trading range.. finance.yahoo.com This could be the next 5+ years for homebuilders. Also recall from about 1991-2000 builder stocks also traded in narrow band too finance.yahoo.com
